Good evening!

I hope everyone had a great October. We loved Troll 19 on the Burlington County Troll Trek so much that we paid him a second visit. We had a busy Diwali with lots of tasty mithai. My husband and I also went to the 3rd Annual Diwali Festival in Edison. Towards the end there was a cool drone show with 250 drones!

The end of the month was busy with Halloween festivities. We really enjoyed seeing the Fintastic Pumpkin Glow sculptures at the Adventure Aquarium. We had multiple school parties, a school parade and trick or treating. The kids were Pokemon (Grookey and Sobble). I was Ash Ketchum and my husband was a Pokemon trainer. After the Halloween sugar crash and Daylight Savings Time it is now almost time for the 2024 Presidential Election.

Since my kids were 2.5 years old I started teaching them about voting. We love having our own mock elections at home with our “voting booth.” I have always found voting to be important since it took nineteen years after moving to the United States for me to be able to become a citizen.

Recently we also went to Haddonfield for their “Happy Birthday, Haddy!” celebration. Did you know that the Hadrosaurus foulkii is the state dinosaur for New Jersey? I actually even met one of the members of the fourth grade class that first lobbied for it becoming a state dinosaur. This article discusses the Hadrosaurus and tells you lots of places where you can see things related to the Hadrosaurus on a Hadrosaurus trail that I had made.
