Good morning!
This year winter has been fun since it snowed multiple times in New Jersey. We had a fun February filled with different things such as lion dances, candy making, arcades and more!
Today morning is the last day to see Aristocats Kids at the Music Mountain Theatre in Lambertville. We had a great time watching the show. I put a review of it below. This was one of their children’s shows which are great for younger kids since they are only an hour long. If you missed one I also wrote about some of their upcoming shows as well.
In January we were finally able to see the Earthship in Bucks County! This is the only public Earthship on the east coast. If you have not seen it yet or are curious about what an Earthship is you can see my article below. There is another chance to see it this month during their free tour.
There will still be some colder days this month. These can be a great time to watch the Sonic movies. They are all streaming on Paramount+ for free including the latest movie, Sonic the Hedgehog 3. I wrote an article about the movies where I put the ages I thought each one was appropriate for. I also added ways to make the movies educational for your kids so they can think about things such as character development, landmarks and more. I made an accompanying worksheet set for the movies.
This is the time of year when registrations open for different things. Registration is currently open for Safety Town in Hamilton, NJ. It is for kids that are five and/or entering kindergarten this year. My son loved going there for two weeks last summer. It really taught the kids about safety, police officers and more. Kids have a blast riding pedal go-karts around a miniature town.
Registration is also open for Tiny Riders Storytime. This is for ages two to four and on different days during the year. It is located in Pennington, NJ. I thought it was very cool how there was a story time as well as some information about horses and ponies. The children also got to ride on a pony! Learn more about it below. If you have older kids their registration is also open for their summer programs for older kids as well.
My son had done two sessions of Spring Homeschool classes at Fernbrook Farms in the Spring. That is one of the best seasons to go there with all of the cute baby farm animals. Currently registration is open for their Spring sessions of classes that are for ages three to fourteen. They also have other programs for kids and a CSA as well.
If you have not finished the Burlington County Troll Trek yet the trolls are currently still in their locations. Some may be moved later in the Spring. I will update my article if I find out that any of them have been moved. Be sure to find all 19 trolls!
For those of you who live in New Jersey or Pennsylvania I usually put a post about free weekend events on my Facebook page prior to each weekend. There are all kinds of fun things such as group hikes, live music, art events and more! You can see videos below of some of the fun things we have done recently.
