Hello!
I hope everyone has been finding fun ways to enjoy their summer.
We have been heading to some fun events lately. We went to Midsommarfest at the American Swedish Historical Museum in Philadelphia. Their fika spread was delicious and it was a lot of fun to learn how to dance around a maypole. They have different events throughout the year and some days where you can visit for free. It is definitely a place to check out, especially if you are a fan of Pippi Longstocking.
I had been meaning to check out the Butterfly Festival at Red Bank Battlefield Park and it did not disappoint. There were a slew of crafts, lots of educational materials, great plants and more. This park also has great views of planes landing, is a place of historic interest and has multiple other events coming up this year.
We were able to do a free tour of a local airport where we learned about plane parts, pilots and more. We also went to an inexpensive Barnyard Buddies event at a farm where we could do fruit picking and other fun activities. Both of these events will be recurring in the summer. Be sure to read the articles below to learn more details about our experiences and find out the best times for you to try and check out some of these awesome places.
